The weekly review by Pete the Punter

After all the excitement of with the cricket it has been a relatively quiet few days. Only sporting news of note is that Kevin Pieterson is still out celebrating! Last seen in another nightclub in the west end of London! If ever a man deserves to celebate it is him after his amazing innings last week. I almost spilt my beer in shock when he started hitting Brett Lee and Shane Warne for sixes at such a crucial time!
I mentioned in my award wining previous article that cricket would only overtake football when 20,000 turn up for a county game. Well just two days after the ashes win I watched Warwickshire play Surrey at Edgbaston in a National League match. The ground was empty! That says a lot.

Big football match this Saturday is at the Valley for Charlton against Chelsea. Both sides are unbeaten and have a 100% record. That record will go for one this weekend without doubt and I can't see anything other than another Chelski win. If you fancy a flutter, the draw is good value though. My prediction Charlton 0-2Chelsea.

The big game on Sunday is between the two old rivals, Liverpool and Man Utd. These are traditionally tight affairs and Liverpool are probably due a win against them. Don't write off Rooney having the final word again, his time with his feet and not hands doing the talking. My prediction Liverpool 1-2 Man Utd.

A special mention about West Ham (ok I am a fan but it was mighty impressive!). What a great 4-0 win last Monday against Aston Villa. Marlon Harewood got a hat trick nd now joins Henry on 3 goals for the season, quite incredible! What are the odds on Marlon finishing top goalscorer this season I hear you ask? 100,000/1 the last time I looked! No chance!

Many thanks to all those who have began submitting articles. We try and put on as many on as we possible can and apologies to those who have missed out. Keep them coming though, the more we receive the better. We are trying to cover a good cross section of sports.
